The previous elder abuse statistics may be the devastating. The National Center on Elder Abuse estimated that over a million seniors experienced abuse or neglect per year. The estimate in the NCEA report is just the tip of the iceberg.

The Heart Wrenching Fact is That Most Abuse Comes along Unreported.

What Is Abuse?

Abuse is any way of mistreatment that results a new harm or loss to a senior citizen. Here are some common pores and skin elder mistreatment:

I'm not a cost whiz but even I noticed the number of elderly doubling next week!

People withstand the Ostrich Syndrome basically because prefer to stick their heads from inside the sand instead of presented with unpleasant situations. The fact that one in ten seniors will experience several abuse, is one unpleasant truth we are not able to ignore.

Elder abuse statistics also demolished another bit of our comfort zone. The idea that abuse victims fit a certain demographic is not true. Casualties can be discovered from every walk that had been life, and every illustration of family.
